OLD FORT TOWNSEND
June 12, 2008
Spent the day at Old Fort Townsend State Park, a cute, clean
park with hiking trails and some nice views of the channel.
We took a hike around the perimeter of the park, about 2-3 miles.
It was all in the woods
There were no batteries like at Fort Flagler, this fort was more for protection and detecting raiding parties of Indians.  These buildings burned in a fire and were never restored.

During WWll a test building was built for testing torpedos.
