THE STORM

2/7/10 Carrizal

We had sailed down from Barra the day before and anchored in Carrizal Bay on the outside edge of the Manzanillo Bay.  The following morning the sky looked funny and the water was a little choppy, so we headed on in to the Las Hadas.

about a half hour after pulling anchor the sky got really dark.

Then the wind hit!  it was about 30 knots with higher gusts,  Waves increased and started breaking over the boat.   After a half hour we finally made it around the corner into the protected anchorage of the Las Hadas Hotel.  Dolphin Tales took these photos, and NO one took any after the wind & waves really struck.
